Caorle is situated at the top of the Adriatic Sea between Trieste and Venice and is a tourist resort where sea and shore meet history and culture.

The Easter Veneto area has many important rivers and basin that have had a significant effect n the civilisations that inhabited this land. You need to bear in mind thet the SERENISSIMA Republic of Venice governed the territories of Eastern Veneto for almost a thousand years, investin a large part of its own resources in the efficiency of the watercourses, mainly for commercial reason. Between the Livenza and the Tagliamento, passing down the Lemene, we find the large coastal areas with dammed expanses of water, pools, lakes, lagoons, and salt or brackish water basins that are connected to rivers.
For several iyears, a renaturalisation project has been going on that has up to now re developed 20 km of country hedgerows, 170 hectares of woodland and 60 hectares of wetlands which, together with beaches untouched by tourism structures and enriched by a pine forest with a complex system of dunes, represents an important habitat for many plant and animal species. The Caorle Lagooon extends to Valle Zignago touches the town of San Gaetano on the edge of the Valle Grande.
We come to the luxuriant Eraclea mare pine forest, ideal for walks or bike rides along its many paths through the greenery to the Laguna del Mort. As we continue, we come to Jesolo and discover the Sile and the Oasis of Trepalade where small mammals, reptiles, amphibians and many bird species have an ideal habitat in which to mate......
3) FOOD and WINE
One particularly important aspect of the attractionsof Eastern Veneto is its wine and food culture.
This itinerary follows products rather than places, because the latter are found in the whol territory, with no distinction as to their location.
From Bibione to Jesolo and inland has always been known for its tourism based economy but it is also linked to fishing, agriculture and other related activities.
Fish from both the sea and the lagoon are the basis of a series of typical dishes, fruit of a tradition.
Cuisine here is not only based on Venetian influenced dishes such as fried food, soups and grills, but also on a new look at some traditional fishermen's recipes, where warm POLENTA is an essential accompaniment to every good fish dish.
Fish soup, most popular is "Broèto" (fish stew), another type of dish is "sardeèè in saòr" (fried sardines left to soak with onions) and "Speò de bisàato" (eel on the spit).....

The first itinerary follows the ancient rout of the via Annia, built in 131 BC to connect Adria and Aquileia, passing through the cities of Padua, Altino and Concordia.
You have to visit Jesolo, San Donà di Piave, Altino archaeological town with his famous and important museums, Meolo, NOventa di Piave and Ceggia.
